The Order of St James is a community of Christians dedicated to working together in the community.
It is not representative of any one particular denomination but seeks to meet people where they are in their faith journeys.
The Order, like all others, has at its heart its own rule, 'The Rule of Simplicity', which is based on the Epistle of St James.
Put in its most basic form, each member will
- pray for one another and for the Order
- be faithful in the ministry of the gifts God has entrusted them with
- encourage and support others in the exercise of their gifts
- be willing to give assistance and help to all who ask or are in need
- regularly study the Word of God, in particular the Epistle of James
